My standard rule of reblogging red-haired girls with freckles comes into play yet again.

Presto! Red hair and freckles. That’s magic.

More red hair n’ freckles. Yesterday, it was warm enough here in Portland Oregon that I worked outside in Laurelhurst Park for the 1st time this year. A BEAUTIFUL woman with long red hair rode by on a bicycle, and my heart thumped in joy at the oncoming spring.

Those freckles are cute as ten kittens romping. And those lips look soooo soft.

For no particular reason at all, I always consider a girl with freckles to be smarter. I mean, I understand why my heart says, “Sexy!”… but I’m not sure what mental switch says, “Smarter!”
Bottom line, though… if this girl was wearing glasses, I’d put her IQ at about 215.

Probably because of that crown tattoo that’s peeking out, I keep thinking of this woman in terms of a princess. A warrior princess, though, not one of those dreamy princesses that sublimate their days away, waiting for the prince. No… this one has a sword and a temper.

Those arresting eyes, and those lips, and those freckles. And that sexy sexy philtrum.

Those freckles… those eyes… and that whimsical and tentative smile.

I’m never quite sure why I love freckles so much. The closest I can come to explaining is that a naked body is a canvas, and there’s something about freckles that puts art on that canvas, in the manner of well done tattoos, except the freckles retain a 100% sense of innocence. And, just like tattoos, I want to run my fingers, tongue, etc, over freckles, just to cement their presence, because freckles are like ghosts… visible but intangible.

Red hair. Freckles. Brown eyes. A smile.
Checkmate.

Because freckles.

Freckles and red hair. Are they evil? I hope so.

Reblogged for no other reason than looking at her face makes me feel happy. Reason enough, of course.

I can’t look at this image without smiling myself. I would, in fact, be suspicious of anyone who can look at this without cracking a grin.
