Art by Edwin Georgi (1896 - 1964) He’s one of my favorite illustrators… largely for his use of color. Amazingly, this piece of art is one of his LEAST colorful pieces. Seriously.
The woman who modeled for the blonde in the red dress was by far his favorite model. She was in a HUGE percentage of his art. Definitely his muse. I’m not sure who she is, and haven’t looked it up. I like her to remain mysterious.
I own two original pieces of Georgi’s art. The blonde is in both of them.

More art I love, this time largely for how well he captured that expression on her face.

Some days, all you really need is a new perspective.

I recently purchased that HUGE (17 pounds!) Taschen press tome on magic / magicians throughout the last centuries, partly because the subject interests me but also because I’m in love with the imagery of the posters, especially from the period between the 1860’s and the 1930’s. The above poster isn’t a magic poster per se, but it does have that feel to it. Love how the girl has a calm, languid expression. “Oh. The devil has sent another serpent to entwine me in its coils. Ho hum.”

Tattoo illustration that caught my fancy. Despite how I live in a tattoo town, my skin is bare.

Art by Constantin Alajalov (1900 - 1987). He’s absolutely one of my favorite artists, and is currently reminding me that I could definitely use a vacation.

I wonder if octopuses ever realize how much play they could get. If they hauled themselves out of the ocean and hung out in bars, the ladies would be buying them drinks and grinding them on the dance floor.

Love this old advertising image… the way she’s sitting and the way he’s peeking, and all the wonderful colors.

The fantastic thing about individual sexuality is that, somewhere out there, somebody is thrilled that an artist has finally fed their exact sexual fetish. “One mermaid whipping another?!! At last!!!”
I like how everyone is teaming up to get them damn knickers off.
